REGISTRATION FOR THE WEST AFRICAN SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (WASSCE) FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES,2026-SECOND SERIES AND THE GAMBIA BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (GABECE) FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES 2026.

The Banjul Office of The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform the general public that registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2026 – Second Series and The Gambia Basic Education Certificate Examination (GABECE) for Private Candidates is in progress.

Candidates who wish to register for these examinations should:

  1. Buy a Registration Card which is specified by number of subjects from any branch of Guaranty Trust Bank Limited.
  2. Produce evidence of identity by presenting any of the following documents:
    1. National Identity Card (ID Card),
    2. Birth Certificate,
    3. Passport.
  3. The cost of subject’s cards can be found below:

The deadline for registration of candidates is Monday, August 31, 2026 at 16:00 hours. Late registration will not be allowed.
