PRESS RELEASE

   REGISTRATION FOR WEST AFRICAN SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION

                                                                         (WASSCE) FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES - SECOND SERIES 2025

The general public is hereby informed that registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2025 – Second Series and GABECE for Private Candidates will commence on Monday, April 15, 2025. Candidates who wish to register for these examinations should:

  1.  buy a Registration Card which is specified by Number of subjects from any branch of

       Guaranty Trust Bank Limited.

  2.  produce evidence of identity by presenting any of the following documents.

      (a)  National Identity Card (ID Card),

      (b)  Birth Certificate,

      (c)  Passport.

Prospective candidates wishing to register can do so at the following registration centres:

	1.	WAEC Head Office, 11 Marina Parade, Banjul	Friday, September 12, 2025
	2.	WAEC Branch Office, Mansakonko, LRR	Friday, September 12, 2025
	3.	WAEC Branch Office, Basse – Mansajang, URR	Friday, September 12, 2025

 

The deadline for registration of candidates is Friday, September 12, 2025 at 16:00 hours. Late registration will not be allowed.
