Annual Council Meeting

The Annual Council Meeting is the principal gathering of the West African Examinations Council. Delegates from the five member countries — Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia — meet with the Headquarters to consider policy, examinations and the administration of the Council.

The meeting rotates among member countries. It is the forum at which national views are harmonised, the work of international and national committees is reviewed, and decisions affecting the conduct of WASSCE and national examinations are taken.

The Gambia National Office hosts and participates in the meeting according to the Council’s calendar. Announcements, programmes and reports are published as press releases on this website when they become available.
