CASS Offline Registration Updates

The West African Examinations Council, The Gambia, has issued database update instructions for school and centre operators using the CassOffline application for the 2026 examination year.

Before you start, close the CassOffline application completely, ensure no one else is using the system, and save all work. Download the official ZIP file, extract it, and double-click PatchRunner.exe. Wait for the process to complete.

The tool checks the database, creates a backup automatically, applies the necessary updates and displays a completion summary. When you see “Press Enter to close…”, press Enter and continue with Year 3 promotion and upload.

You can then log in to the CASS system application and promote candidates from Year 2 to Year 3, enter Year 3 CASS marks, and upload to WAEC. A backup copy of your database is automatically saved in WCDATABACKUPS.

If you see “Database is locked/in use”, close CassOffline completely and run the update tool again. To confirm the update, open CassOffline and check that the 2026 exam year is visible.

Always extract the ZIP file before running. Only download from the official WAEC link. Do not rename or modify the file. Ensure power supply is stable and do not interrupt the update process. If you experience any issue, locate the most recent file inside WCDataLogs and send it to ICT Support.
