Vacancy Announcement — Assistant Registrars II

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), a sub-regional organisation responsible for conducting various examinations in the English-speaking West African countries, invited applications from suitably qualified Gambians to fill vacant positions at The Gambia National Office.

Assistant Registrar II posts were advertised in Christian Religious Studies, Home Economics, French, and Accounting/Economics. Successful applicants would be assigned duties in the Test Development or Test Administration Division, including developing papers, assisting in the conduct of examinations, recruiting examiners, and organising coordination and moderation meetings.

Applicants were required to possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a recognised university in the relevant discipline, with at least three years of relevant post-qualification teaching experience. All applicants needed five credits in WASSCE/GCE O Levels including English Language and Mathematics at a sitting, or six credits at not more than two sittings, and should not be more than forty years of age at the close of the advertisement.
